Alex Baden is the Technical Director leading the Query Engine team at HEAVY.AI. Prior to HEAVY.AI, he was a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, studying computer science and developing terabyte scale databases and visualization tools, optimized for range queries across three dimensional image datasets. He has contributed code to various open source projects across the big data landscape and has worked with organizations such as the Allen Institute for Brain Science to develop tools for the analysis of large and complex datasets. He holds a MSE in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Maryland.
